Paws for Thought: We have a floor!

The Tabernacle’s new floor has officially received a local seal of approval—literally. Shortly after we poured the concrete last Monday, a local cat snuck in to leave a few permanent paw prints. While it wasn't in the architectural plans, we think it’s a fitting tribute to a building that has always been, and will always be at the heart of the community.

For two decades, the floor of the Whitfield Tabernacle was a mix of clay, rubble, and the occasional growing tree. If you visited us during those years, you know just how far we’ve had to climb to bring this historic space back to life.

Last Monday, that climb reached a major milestone when the concrete floor was poured, giving us a level surface to work from.

The New floor was poured last week!

This isn't just a floor; it’s the foundation for our future sprung dance floor and the structural base needed to reinstate the historic balcony level. It is also another fantastic milestone to the Tabernacle reopening!

The interior of the Tabernacle in 2017

The transformation from when we took over in 2017 is incredible. From a hollowed-out shell reclaimed by nature in 2017 to a solid, professional venue space today. The Tabernacle is finally standing on solid ground, and we can’t wait to see you all walking—and dancing—on it soon.
